Fly Screens for Windows in Dubai

Of all the openings in a home, windows get used the most, for air and for light, and they are the ones insects slip through first. We make fly screens for every window in the house, fixed ones for the windows you rarely touch and openable ones for the windows you work each day. Each is cut to the exact window and held on with tape, so no holes go into your frames. The measure is free, and we cover homes right across Dubai and the UAE.

Window Screen Types

A screen for every kind of window

No two windows are quite the same, so we make several kinds of window screen. Here are the ones we fit most, and the window each one suits.

Fixed window screen

A slim panel that sits over a window you rarely open. No moving parts, the lowest price, and a good fit for tall feature windows up high.

from AED 300

Openable window screen

Moves with a window you open each day, so the screen never gets in the way. The right pick for bedroom and kitchen windows.

from AED 400

Double-sided window screen

Two panels meeting in the middle, made for a wide window where one panel would be too broad to sit well.

from AED 450

Sliding window screen

Runs on a slim track beside a sliding window and covers the half that opens, a match for the sliding windows in many homes.

Roller window screen

Winds down from a slim box above the window and rolls back up out of sight, handy where you want the screen gone when it is not needed.

Pleated window screen

The mesh concertinas sideways and pulls flat over the frame, a neat answer for a very wide window or a window-and-door run.

Room By Room

Window screens, room by room

Every room has its own windows and its own reason for a screen. These are the windows people ask us to cover first.

Bedroom windows

The room where an open window matters most. A screen means you can sleep with it open all night and not wake to a mosquito.

Kitchen windows

Cooking smells pull flies in fast, and an open kitchen window is the way they arrive. A screen clears the air without inviting them.

Living-room windows

Usually the biggest windows in the home, kept for the light and the view. A clear screen lets the breeze in and keeps the view it frames.

Bathroom windows

Left open for airflow more than most, which is exactly when small flies wander in. A fixed screen handles it and asks nothing of you.

Villa windows

A villa can carry dozens of windows over two or three floors. We work through them room by room and price the whole house as one.

High-floor windows

Apartment windows up a tower still get insects on the breeze. A screen lets you open them for air without anything drifting in.

Why Dubai Fly Screens

Window screens done properly

We have screened windows in UAE homes since 2017, so there is little we have not fitted a screen to. Everything else we make is on our services page.

Every window type

Fixed, openable, double, sliding, roller and pleated, all under one roof, so each window in the home gets the screen that actually suits it.

Cut to the window

Nothing comes off a shelf. We measure each window and build the screen to it, so it sits flush in the frame and seals right round the edge.

No drilling

Strong tape holds the screen, not screws, so your window frames keep their finish and a tenant can fit screens without marking the place.

Italian and European mesh

Clear, hard-wearing mesh from Italian and European mills, in grey or charcoal, so you keep the view from the window and the air through it.

Free measure, fair price

We measure the windows for nothing and add no visit fee. The quote is the same wherever you are, and a window screen starts at AED 300.

Backed for years

There is a five-year warranty on the aluminium frames and a year on the mesh, and we will mend or re-net a window screen later on if it ever wants it.

Window Pricing

What window fly screens cost

Window screens are the most affordable screens we make. Each price below is a starting point, with the final figure set by how big the window is and the type picked, before 5 percent VAT.

Fixed window screenStays put over a window that seldom opens
from AED 300
Openable window screenTracks alongside a window in daily use
from AED 400
Double-sided window screenFor a window too wide for one panel
from AED 450
Door screenIf you need doors done at the same time
from AED 700

The first three cover windows; a door screen begins at AED 700 if you want doors done on the same visit. A big feature window naturally runs higher than a small bathroom one, so the figure is settled window by window at the free measure, with nothing owed until you agree. Every price is before 5 percent VAT, and payment can be cash or card.

How It Works

From a window count to a screened home

Three short steps run from a first message to screens on every window, with the visits arranged to suit you.

1

Free window measure

We come round, go window to window noting which open and which stay shut, suggest the screen for each, and give you a price there and then.

2

Made to each window

Every screen is built to its own window, in your choice of mesh and frame colour, and is ready within four to eight working days.

3

Fitted on tape

We come back and press each screen onto the frame, with nothing drilled, then make sure each one opens, shuts and seals properly before we go.

Choosing fly screens for your windows

Which screen suits which window, how the mesh and the measure work, and why windows are worth screening at all. Tap a heading to read more.

A house has more windows than anything else, and they are the openings you reach for when you want air or light. The trouble is that an open window is the easiest way in for a mosquito or a fly, especially after dark when the lights are on inside. In the cooler stretch of the year you really want the windows open, so the choice ends up being a stuffy room or an open window with insects, unless there is a screen in between.

There is a health side to it too, not only comfort. Mosquitoes carry a good deal of what the World Health Organization follows, the wide group of vector-borne disease and dengue among it. A screen on the window lets the air through and holds the insects at the mesh, which is why most homes we visit end up with screens on the windows that get opened.

For most windows the decision is simply fixed or openable, and it turns on how often you open the window. A fixed screen is a flat mesh panel set in a slim frame that simply stays across the opening. It has no moving parts, it costs the least, and it suits a window you rarely open or a tall feature window set high on a wall where you would not reach a handle anyway. You see straight through it and forget it is there.

An openable screen is the one to fit where a window is used. It moves with the window, sliding or lifting alongside it, so you can still work the window fully with the screen in place. Bedroom and kitchen windows nearly always want this kind. You can read more on the single-pull version on our retractable screens page, and we sort one from the other window by window at the measure.

Beyond fixed and openable, the shape of the window points to the rest. A sliding window, common in apartments and newer villas, gets a screen running on a narrow track of its own that covers the half that opens. A window that is wider than it is tall is better as a double-sided screen, two panels meeting in the middle, or as a pleated one where the mesh folds flat to the side. A small high window often suits a roller that winds down only when you want it.

You do not have to puzzle any of this out by yourself. At the measure we look at each window, how it opens and how big it is, and tell you which type fits. If a run of windows sits next to a door, a matching screen across the lot can look neater than a patchwork. Our door screens and the blind screens page cover those nearby options.

On a window the mesh is the very thing you look through, so it matters more than anywhere. Most people pick a fine fibreglass mesh in grey or charcoal. Both keep the view clear and let the air pass, and both turn away the everyday mosquitoes and flies. Charcoal tends to disappear against the glass and gives a touch more privacy by day, which people often prefer on a front-facing window.

A few windows call for something different. A kitchen or a child's window near a pet does better with a tougher pet-resistant net. Against the very smallest midges or fine dust, a denser weave shuts more out, though it dims the view a little. We bring samples to the measure so you can hold each one against the light, and the whole selection appears across our mosquito mesh and insect screen pages.

It begins with a free visit. We fix a time, come to the home, and measure each window you want covered down to the millimetre, since a screen seals only when it matches the frame precisely. We work through the home a room at a time so nothing is missed, note which windows open and which stay fixed, and write up the type and price for each before totalling them. There is nothing to pay for the visit and nothing to sign.

From there the screens are made to your figures and we come back to fit them, usually within four to eight working days. A single window screen takes a couple of minutes to fit, so a handful of windows is a short visit, and a whole villa of windows is a day. You are given firm dates at booking, so the fitting lands when it suits the household.

Almost every window screen we fit is held on with strong double-sided tape rather than screws. That means no holes in the window frame, none in the glass surround and none in the wall, and lift a screen off later and there is no mark to show it was ever there. The tape is built for the task and keeps its hold through the Dubai heat, fixing a screen to the frame year on year.

It works just the same on an aluminium frame or a uPVC one, the two you find on most windows here. For anyone renting, that is the part that counts: screens go on and come off without a mark, so there is no drilling to clear with a landlord and no deposit at risk when a lease ends. The frames keep their finish and the windows keep working as they did.

A window screen leads a hard life, catching sun, dust and the odd knock, so now and then one needs attention. If the mesh tears, a frame bends or a roller sticks, on a screen of ours or one already on the window when you moved in, we will come and put it right. Usually a repair or a new sheet of mesh puts it right again, for far less than a replacement would run to.

The call-out for that is free, the same as for new work. Message a photo of the window and the fault through WhatsApp, and we will come back with what it needs and the cost. Our fly screen repair and mesh replacement pages go into more detail.

Getting started is quick. Send a WhatsApp telling us roughly how many windows need doing and which area you are in, and we will set a measuring time to suit you. The visit is free and there is no push to commit, so you can let us measure and quote, then think it over in your own time.

On price, a fixed window screen opens at AED 300, an openable one at AED 400 and a double-sided one at AED 450, all before VAT, with a large window costing more than a small one. We settle the figure window by window at the measure, so it is clear before any work starts. Once you have decided, our contact page lists every way to get hold of us.

Window FAQs

Window screen questions

Quick answers on the types, the price and how a window fitting works before you get in touch.

We make every kind. A fixed screen is a slim panel that stays over a window you rarely open. An openable screen slides or lifts with a window you use each day. A double-sided screen joins two panels across a wide window, a sliding screen travels on a track next to a sliding window, a roller screen drops from a small box above the frame, and a pleated screen gathers flat for a very wide opening. At the free measure we look at each window and suggest the one that suits it.

It depends on how often that window gets opened. For a window you seldom open, or a tall feature window high on a wall, a fixed screen is the neat, low-cost answer and it has no moving parts. For a window you open and close through the week, a bedroom or a kitchen window, an openable screen is better, since it moves with the window rather than blocking it. We help you sort one from the other at the measure, window by window.

Yes, as many or as few as you want. Most homes have a long list of windows, so we go room by room at the measure, the bedrooms, the kitchen, the living room and the bathrooms, and price the lot together. You can screen the whole house at once or start with the windows that bother you most and add the rest later. A villa with many windows is a fitting day, an apartment is usually quicker.

Both, yes. A sliding window takes a screen on its own slim track, set so it covers the half that opens while the window slides behind it. A casement window, the kind that swings out on a hinge, takes an openable screen on the inside so you can still reach the handle and work the window. We make each one to the exact window, so it sits flush and seals all the way round.

A fixed window screen starts from AED 300, an openable window screen from AED 400, and a double-sided window screen from AED 450, each before 5 percent VAT. The final figure depends on the size of the window and the type you choose, and a large feature window costs more than a small bedroom one. We work out the price for the whole home at the free measure, with nothing due until you decide to proceed. You can settle by cash or card.

No. We hold nearly every window screen on with strong double-sided tape, not screws, so no holes go into the window frame, the glass or the wall. The tape grips through the Dubai heat and lifts off cleanly if a screen is ever moved. It works the same on aluminium and uPVC window frames, and because nothing is drilled, a tenant can fit screens without touching the property or risking a deposit.

The screens are made within four to eight working days of the measure. A single window screen goes on in a couple of minutes, so a few windows are done in one short visit, while a whole villa of windows is a fitting day. We give you firm dates when you book, and because the screens go on with tape there is no drilling, no dust and no mess left behind in any room.

Windows are the openings you use most for air and light, and they are where most insects get into a home. In the cooler months especially, you want the windows open for a breeze, but an open window is an open door to mosquitoes and flies. A screen lets you leave any window open day or night with nothing coming in, which matters for sleep in the bedrooms and for health, since mosquitoes spread illness the World Health Organization tracks closely.
