Fly screens we fit across Abu Dhabi

Every screen is made to measure for your opening, so whatever the window, door or balcony, there is a screen to suit it. These are the types we fit most around Abu Dhabi homes.

Retractable

The most popular choice. The mesh rolls away into a slim cassette when you are not using it, ideal for villa doors and big windows.

Magnetic

A net curtain that snaps shut behind you, hands-free. A favourite for apartment balcony doors on Yas, Saadiyat and Reem.

Sliding

A screen that glides alongside a sliding door or window, made to match the track. Well suited to garden and terrace doors.

Pleated

A folding screen that pulls across like a concertina and tucks away neatly. A tidy fit for wide openings and patio doors.

Window & door screens

Fixed and hinged screens made for everyday windows and doors, the bread and butter of keeping a home insect-free.

Mosquito nets

Fine see-through netting in grey or charcoal for windows, doors and beds. We fit mosquito nets across Abu Dhabi, the barrier that keeps the mosquitoes out.

Across The Emirate

Parts of Abu Dhabi we work in

From the islands to the inland villa communities, we fit screens all over Abu Dhabi. Here are some of the areas we are in most often.

Khalifa City & MBZ

Large villa neighbourhoods with big windows, garden doors and courtyards. Retractable and sliding screens are the usual fit here.

Yas & Saadiyat Island

Townhouses and apartments close to the water, where balcony doors and bedroom windows are screened against the coastal insects.

Al Reem & Al Maryah

High-rise island living where magnetic and pleated screens on balcony doors let the sea breeze in without the bugs.

Al Reef & Al Raha

Family villa communities near the airport and the beach, where whole-home jobs across many windows and doors are common.

Al Shamkha & Shakhbout

Newer villa districts further inland, where gardens draw flies and screens keep the house open and clear through the cooler months.

Corniche & city centre

City-centre apartments by the Corniche, in Al Khalidiyah and Al Bateen, screened at the windows and balconies high above the street.

Why Dubai Fly Screens

An Abu Dhabi job done the right way

We have fitted screens across the UAE since 2017, and we treat an Abu Dhabi home the same as one on our doorstep. Made to measure, fitted with care, and backed after the job. The full list of what we do is on our services page.

Made for your opening

Nothing is off the shelf. Every screen is measured and built to the exact window or door, so it fits cleanly and seals all round.

No drilling, no marks

We fit with strong tape, not screws, so your walls and frames stay as they are. It holds in the heat and lifts off cleanly later.

Three European and Turkish systems

We are the only company in the UAE offering German, Italian and Turkish systems, so we match the right one to your home and budget.

Free measurement, no surcharge

The visit to measure costs nothing, and the drive from Dubai is on us. You pay the same in Abu Dhabi as anyone pays in Dubai.

Quick turnaround

From measurement to fitting is usually four to eight working days, and the fitting itself is quick once your screens are ready.

Five-year frame warranty

The aluminium frames carry a five-year warranty and the mesh a year, and we offer repairs and re-mesh later if you ever need them.

Choosing fly screens for an Abu Dhabi home

What suits a villa, what suits an island apartment, and why screens matter in the capital. Open any section to read more.

Abu Dhabi is a coastal, low-lying capital with water never far away, from the Corniche and the islands to the mangroves at Jubail and Eastern Mangrove Park. Mangroves and still coastal water are natural breeding grounds for mosquitoes, and the warm, humid air suits them year round. Add the flies that come with villa gardens and the bugs that drift in during the cooler months when windows are open, and an open home without screens quickly fills with insects.

That barrier is worth more than comfort. Mosquitoes carry illness the World Health Organization keeps a close watch on, from vector-borne disease across the board to dengue in particular. A fly screen lets you throw the windows open for the sea breeze while keeping the mosquitoes, flies and the rest firmly outside, which is why so many Abu Dhabi homes end up fitting them.

The villa communities, Khalifa City, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Al Reef, Al Raha Gardens, Al Shamkha and Shakhbout City, tend to have large windows, sliding doors onto a garden, and a main or courtyard door that stays in use. For the big sliding doors a retractable or a sliding screen works best, because it gets out of the way when you are not using it and does not crowd the opening. For the main door, a retractable or a hinged screen lets you come and go easily.

Because a villa has many openings, screening one is usually a whole-home job. We measure every window and door at the free visit, suggest a mix of screen types to suit each one, and give you a single price for the lot. You can read more about the individual types on our retractable and sliding door pages.

The island communities, Yas, Saadiyat, Reem and Al Maryah, are mostly apartments and townhouses, and their main opening is the balcony door, with windows in the bedrooms. Because these are often rented, the tape fitting matters: it leaves no holes in the walls or frames, so nothing affects the deposit and a screen can be taken with you or removed cleanly when you move on.

For a balcony door, a magnetic net curtain is a popular, low-cost choice that snaps shut behind you, and a pleated screen suits wider sliding doors. For the bedroom windows, a simple fixed or sliding screen does the job. Being close to the water, these homes see plenty of mosquitoes after dark, so the bedrooms are usually the first to be screened. See the options on our magnetic and pleated pages.

The mesh is what does the actual work, and the standard choice is a fine fibreglass weave in grey or charcoal. It is easy to see through from inside, lets the air move, and stops the usual mosquitoes and flies. Grey and charcoal both keep the view clear, with charcoal giving a touch more privacy from outside in daylight. For most Abu Dhabi homes this standard mesh is all you need.

There are options worth knowing about. If you have a cat or a dog, a tougher pet-resistant mesh stands up to claws far better. If tiny biting insects or dust are a problem, a finer weave shuts more out. We talk the choices through at the measurement, and there is more detail on the materials on our mosquito mesh and insect screen pages.

It starts with a free measurement. We arrange a time, drive over from Dubai, and measure every opening you want screened to the millimetre, because a made-to-measure screen has to match the frame exactly to seal properly. While we are there we talk through which screen type suits each window or door, and we price the whole job on the spot with nothing to pay and nothing to commit to.

The screens are then built to those sizes and we come back to fit them, usually within four to eight working days. Fitting is done with strong double-sided tape, so there is no drilling and no mess, and a standard screen takes only minutes. A larger villa job takes longer on the day, but we plan both the measuring and the fitting trips in advance so the dates are clear and easy for you.

We fit almost every screen with a strong double-sided tape rather than screws. That means no holes drilled into your walls, your aluminium or your uPVC frames, and nothing left behind if a screen is ever taken down. The tape is made for the job and holds firmly through the Abu Dhabi heat and humidity, so a screen stays put where it is fitted.

This is a real advantage in the rented apartments on Reem, Yas and Saadiyat, where drilling can affect your deposit and is often not allowed at all. It is just as welcome in a villa, where it keeps good window frames in good condition. If you ever move or want a screen removed, it comes off cleanly without leaving a mark.

We do not only fit new screens; we look after them afterwards too. If a screen we made, or one fitted by someone else, has torn mesh, a bent frame, a roller that has stopped working or a magnet that no longer holds, we can come out and put it right. Often a repair or a fresh mesh is all that is needed, which costs far less than a new screen.

The same free, no-surcharge visit applies to repairs in Abu Dhabi as to new screens. Send a photo of the problem on WhatsApp and we will tell you what it needs and what it costs. There is more on this on our fly screen repair and mesh replacement pages.

Booking is simple even though we come from Dubai. The quickest start is a WhatsApp message with your area in Abu Dhabi and a rough idea of how many windows and doors you want screened. From there we set a measurement time that suits you, drive over, and take it from there. Because we plan the Abu Dhabi run in advance, the measuring and fitting visits are both arranged around your schedule.

On cost, the starting prices run from AED 300 for a fixed window screen up to AED 700 for a door, with single and double window screens in between, all before VAT and exactly as in Dubai with nothing added for the drive. The measurement is free and the price is agreed before any work begins, so you always know the figure up front. Whenever you are ready, our contact page has every way to reach us.

Abu Dhabi FAQs

Common questions from Abu Dhabi

Quick answers about covering the emirate, pricing and fitting before you book.

Yes. We are based in Deira in Dubai, but Abu Dhabi is a regular run for us and we cover the whole emirate, the city and the islands as well as the villa communities further out. We come to you for the measurement, make the screens to size, and return to fit them. The drive from Dubai does not add to your price, and we plan the trip so both visits are easy to arrange around you.

It is, genuinely free and with nothing to commit to. We come out, measure every opening you want screened, talk through the screen types that suit them, and give you a price on the spot. If you go ahead we make the screens to those measurements; if you do not, you owe nothing for the visit. The free measurement applies right across Abu Dhabi, from the Corniche to Khalifa City and out to Al Reef.

All of it. We fit screens in the island communities of Yas, Saadiyat, Reem and Al Maryah, in the villa neighbourhoods of Khalifa City, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Al Shamkha, Shakhbout City, Al Reef and Al Raha, and in the apartments around the Corniche, Al Khalidiyah and Al Bateen. The communities near the Dubai border such as Al Ghadeer and Hydra Village are easy for us too. If your area is not on the list, ask, because we almost certainly reach it.

Yes, and Abu Dhabi has plenty of both. For villas in places like Khalifa City and Al Raha Gardens we screen large windows, garden doors and courtyards, often with retractable or sliding screens. For apartments on Yas, Saadiyat and Reem we screen balcony doors and windows, where magnetic and pleated screens tend to suit. Whatever the home, we make each screen to the exact opening.

The price is the same as in Dubai, with no surcharge for the distance. A fixed window screen starts from AED 300, a single-opening window screen from AED 400, a double-sided screen from AED 450, and a door screen from AED 700, all before 5 percent VAT. The final figure depends on the size and the type of screen, which we confirm free at the measurement. You pay by cash or card.

No. We fit almost every screen with strong double-sided tape rather than screws, so there are no holes and no marks left in your walls, aluminium or uPVC. It holds firmly in the Abu Dhabi heat and can be removed cleanly if you ever take a screen down. This matters in rented apartments on Reem or Yas, where you want nothing that affects the deposit, and it keeps villa frames in good order too.

Most orders are made and fitted within four to eight working days of the measurement. A standard window screen takes only a few minutes to fit, while larger jobs across a whole villa take longer on the fitting day. Because we plan the Abu Dhabi trip in advance, we will give you clear dates for both the measurement and the fitting when you book.

Abu Dhabi sits on the coast with mangroves close to the city, and standing water and warm, humid air are exactly what mosquitoes breed in. Flies and other insects are common too, especially around villa gardens and in the cooler months when everyone opens up the windows. A fly screen lets you keep windows and doors open for the breeze while keeping all of that outside, which is why most homes here end up wanting them.
